Terms of Use and Conditions
DETAILS, TERMS OF USE AND CONDITIONS
It is very important that the holder of any CinéPasse, Accreditation Pass or any other entrance ticket must obtain a ticket (printed or digital) before each screening. No CinéPasse, Accreditation Pass or any other entrance ticket ensures entrance. A ticket will be required at the door to access all venues.
Presales:
Buy online at qcff.ca: A special rate for the CinéPasse is offered only from July 1 to September 10 (Sunday before the Festival) until 11:59 PM. The regular CinéPasse price applies beginning on September 11 (Monday before the Festival). Tickets are available when the program is announced. Print your receipt or save it on a mobile device to speed up your access to venues. Service charges are included, taxes apply at the time of purchase. Purchase can only be made with credit cards. Please note that the Festival does not send any purchases by mail.
Buy in person: From the launch of program on Tuesday, September 12, during opening hours at the main ticket office at Palais Montcalm (http://www.palaismontcalm.ca/joindre/). Service charges are included, taxes apply at the time of purchase. Purchase with debit or credit card at Palais Montcalm and only credit card online and at other festival ticket offices.
During the Festival
Buy online:
At all times, until the last day of the festival. Service charges are included, taxes apply at the time of purchase. Purchases can only be made with a credit card.

CinéPasse 5 Privileges - Valid for one (1) person – Not transferable. Allows you to select five (5) regular screenings of your choice for which your entry is guaranteed with a Privilege ticket - not transferable - as soon as you purchase your CinéPasse 5 Privileges. To obtain the tickets, call the InfoQCFF line or go to one of the QCFF ticket offices to choose your tickets, as they cannot be issued online presently. Once your privilege tickets have been issued, the CinéPasse still gives you access to all the regular Festival screenings depending on seating available in the venue, but only after all ticket holders have been seated. Includes: 5 (five) Privilege tickets, secondary access to films; one (1) catalogue and one (1) poster. Excludes: CinéConcerts and Prestige screenings, notably the Opening screening and the Gala, which are not considered regular screenings. Limited quantities available. Any breach of procedure will result in revocation of the benefit for the duration of the festival.
CinéPasse 7 Privileges - Valid for one (1) person – Not transferable. Allows you to select five (5) regular screenings of your choice for which your entry is guaranteed with a Privilege ticket - not transferable - as soon as you purchase your CinéPasse 7 Privileges. In addition, you receive two (2) tickets for the Prestige screenings of your choice – either a Privilege ticket for the Opening film, the Gala film or any other Prestige screening available during the QCFF (Corbeille or Balcon section - first come, first served). To obtain the tickets, call the InfoQCFF line or go to one of the QCFF ticket offices to choose your tickets, as they cannot be issued online presently. Once your privilege tickets have been issued, the CinéPasse still gives you access to all the regular Festival screenings depending on seating available in the venue, but only after all ticket holders have been seated. Excludes CinéConcerts, which are not considered regular or Prestige screenings. CinéPasses cannot be sent my mail and must be picked-up at the Festival’s central ticket office. Includes: five (5) Privilege tickets and two (2) Privilege prestige tickets, secondary access to all regular screenings, special screenings and cinema classes; one (1) catalogue and one (1) poster. Excludes: Prestige cocktails; CinéConcerts, any screening or activity applicable determined by the QCFF. Limited quantities available. Any breach of procedure will result in revocation of the benefit for the duration of the festival.
CinéPasse Privileges UnLIMITED - Valid for one (1) person – Not transferable. Gives you access to all the Festival’s regular, Prestige and CinéConcert screenings if when purchased the tickets are activated by reserving them in advance at one of the QCFF ticket offices. CinéPasses cannot be sent my mail and must be picked-up at the Festival’s central ticket office. Includes: priority access to all regular sessions, special screenings and film classes; the Opening film and the Gala evening film, with a reserved seat at Palais Montcalm; one (1) catalogue and one (1) poster. Excludes: Prestige cocktails, CinéConcerts; any applicable screening or activity determined by the QCFF. Limited quantities per edition. Any breach of procedure will result from revocation of the benefit for the duration of the festival.
CinéPasse VIP - Valid for one (1) person – Not transferable. Gives you access to all the Festival’s regular, Prestige and CinéConcerts screenings, a pass for the Honorary President’s Cocktail Reception and the Gala, including a Parterre section ticket for the opening, Gala AND CinéConcert screenings. All you have to do is present your pass at the entrance (except for CinéConcerts, which you have to reserve in advance at the Palais Montcalm ticket office). In addition, the pass entitles you to a bottle of wine (red or white) or 4 beers of your choice from la Voie Maltée each evening at the Festival bar. Not addable or transferable. Also includes: one (1) catalogue and one (1) poster. Excludes: any screening or activity determined QCFF. A charitable donation tax receipt will be issued to the purchaser only if requested. The amount will be determined by the cost of the purchase less the market value of the goods and services received. Limited quantities per edition. Any breach of procedure will result from revocation of the benefit for the duration of the festival.
CINÉPASSE PRO - Valid for one (1) person - Not transferable. Allows you to select five (5) regular screenings of your choice for which your entry is guaranteed with a Privilege ticket - not transferable - or exchangeable in return for a screening presented outside of the holder’s ON-SITE presence - and this, upon purchase of the CinéPasse 7 Privileges. Added to this are also two (2) tickets for Prestige screenings of your choice - either a Privilege ticket for the Opening film, the Gala film or any other Prestige screening presented during the QCFF (Corbeille or Balcony section, not transferable or exchangeable in return for a screening presented outside of the holder’s ON-SITE presence - first come, first served). To obtain the tickets, call the InfoQCFF line or go to one of the QCFF ticket offices to choose your tickets, as they cannot be issued online presently. Once your privilege tickets have been issued, the CinéPasse still gives you access to all the regular Festival screenings depending on seating available in the venue, but only after all ticket holders have been seated. ACCREDITATION No matter the media, professionals, sponsors or institutions, Accreditation is valid for one (1) person. It grants the same privileges and restrictions as the CinéPasse 5 Privileges.
THE SINGLE TICKET - REGULAR SCREENING Valid for one (1) regular screening for one (1) person. Students under 30 years old with a student ID receive a discount of $2 on regular screening tickets. Proof of student status and ID card will be required when you buy or pick up your ticket. Limited quantities available.
SINGLE TICKET - SPECIAL SCREENING Valid for one (1) special screening for one (1) person. Limited quantities available.
SINGLE TICKET - iD - Valid for one (1) iD class for one (1) person. Limited quantities available.
SINGLE TICKET - PRESTIGE SCREENING Valid for one (1) person for one (1) Prestige screening. Prestige screenings include the Opening Film, the Awards Ceremony film and the Red Carpet film. Limited quantities available.
SINGLE TICKET – CINÉCONCERT SCREENING - Valid for one (1) person for one (1) screening. Exceptionally, CinéConcert tickets are available for sale at the same time via Billetech, allowing you to choose your seating when you make your purchase. The Terms of Use and Conditions of Billetech are applicable for this item. Limited quantities available.
THE PRESTIGE PACKAGE - COCKTAIL + SCREENING Valid for one (1) person for one (1) Prestige evening (Opening film or Awards Ceremony film). Includes: Prestige cocktail; The Opening film or Awards Ceremony film, with reserved seating at the Palais Montcalm. Limited quantities per edition. A charitable donation tax receipt will be issued to the purchaser only if it is requested. The amount will be determined by the cost of the purchase less the market value of the goods and services received.
DOUBLE PROGRAM Valid for two (2) consecutive regular screenings at the same venue for the same person. Excludes: Prestige screenings (Opening film, Awards Ceremony film, Red Carpet films and CinéConcerts and any other screening announced by the Festival). Subject to change without notice. Promotion valid only at the Festival’s central ticket office and not valid online. Limited quantities available.
IMPORTANT Customers are responsible for carefully checking the title of the presentation, date, time and ticket category prior to purchase. Keep your receipt, it is confirmation of your online purchase. ID may be required to pick up your ticket, Accreditation, CinéPasse or Pass at a QCFF box office. Prices for special evenings, partner-evenings and other evenings described may vary. Most films are not classified according to Régie du cinema standards. Viewing is at the participant’s discretion. Suggested minimum age: 16 years, unless otherwise specified by the Festival on its website or in its catalogue, schedule or any communication to that effect. In a case where the work is classified by the Régie, this classification must be respected. All programs are subject to change without notice. Changes will be announced at the venues and on social networks. Unless otherwise stated, foreign works are presented in their original language with French and/or English subtitles. Most venues are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Please send any special requests to info@fcvq.ca when purchasing tickets. Access passes and CinéPasses will not be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged. For any questions, comments or complaints about the festival, please contact info@fcvq.ca.
ARRIVE EARLY! Holders of Festival tickets, CinéPasses, Accreditations or Passes must arrive 15 minutes before screenings to be assured a seat. We cannot reserve a seat for Festival visitors who arrive after the precise time the screening is schedules to start. No refunds will be made in case of late arrival. Late ticket holders will be able to enter the venue after the end of the screening of the short film, if necessary, if seats are still available.
LAST MINUTE TICKETS AND LATECOMERS! Seats available at the time of the closing of the doors will be immediately sold to the festival visitors in the waiting line to buy last minute tickets. As long as there are seats available, the sale of the last minute tickets continues for about ten minutes. Holders only enter the venue after the end of the screening of the short film, if necessary.
PAYMENT METHODS Online purchases can only be made by credit card. On site, cash or credit and debit cards are accepted, unless otherwise stated or in case of circumstances that are beyond our control. In which case the Festival is not responsible.
TERMS OF USE OF SALES QCFF tickets, CinéPasses, Accreditations and Passes are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Prices advertised at the QCFF ticket office are in Canadian dollars and include service charges and generally include all applicable taxes (5% GST and 9.975% QST) at the Festival’s discretion. All sales are final. Presales take place from July 1 to the Sunday before the festival at 11:59 PM. Sales continue until the last day of the festival and at regular prices. Prices also apply to children of all ages. Promotions cannot be combined.
The Student CinéPasse 5 Privileges are valid for students under 30 years old. A valid student ID is required when you purchase or pick up a Cinépasse at a ticket office. In the case that a student who makes a purchase (online or in person) cannot prove their student status, the festival will be obliged to charge the current regular rate at the time of refusal by the ticket agent and the buyer must pay the difference, if any. Festival visitors must be 18 years or older to be admitted to parties and cocktails, unless otherwise stated.
Unless otherwise stated, the QCFF and its suppliers and partners cannot sell merchandise to minors. Minors must be in the presence of an adult to place an order online. No QCFF ticket, CinéPasse, Accreditation will be mailed. All pre-orders must be picked up at the main festival box office at Palais Montcalm starting from the Friday before the opening of the festival (subject to change without notice, see the festival website for more details on pick up location).
Tickets purchased on the QCFF ticket provider platform are for personal use and cannot be resold under any circumstances. The resale of tickets will make them null and void. Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include shipping, if applicable. In case of discrepancies between the information confirmed at the time of a purchase and the information registered by the QCFF ticket system, the information deemed accurate will be that registered by the QCFF ticket system. If the buyer notices an error when buying online, they must immediately notify the QCFF team by telephone in order to correct the order.
GENERAL TERMS OF USE Recording films using video or photos is strictly prohibited. The cancellation of the QCFF ticket, Accreditation or CinéPasse will be affective immediately, in addition to being reported to the authorities without delay. No food or drinks are allowed in venues during screenings, unless otherwise stated. Mobile phones, tablets and electronic devices must be turned off during screenings. The views expressed in the works presented are the sole responsibility of the producers and/or directors. They do not represent the opinion of the QCFF. The QCFF and its partners are allowed to use photos of festival visitors that are taken on the festival sites, including the opinions posted on social networks and with no limitations (audio, video and photo), to be used for promotional, communication and yearly report purposes. Despite the QCFF’s concern for accuracy, errors may occur on its website and in documents issued by the Festival. The QCFF disclaims responsibility for any errors that may be present on its website and in any documents issued by the QCFF.
CANCELLATIONS In case of cancellation of an event by the QCFF or a third party under its responsibility, the ticket provider will reimburse the ticket upon request by the QCFF. If the event is cancelled and cannot be postponed, buyers will be notified by email and the ticket provider will reimburse the ticket within 15 days. The QCFF will display the necessary information on its website and/or networks. Service fees are not refundable. Note that transactions made on the ticket provider platform appear on your credit card statement in that company’s name. If you contact your credit card institution to challenge the said transaction and the QCFF ticket provider platform demonstrates that you have attended the event, fees may apply.
SECURITY Bags, coats, handbags and all other objects may be subject to a search at the entrance of the sites. No illegal substance will be accepted on site. The only alcoholic beverages accepted are those sold on site. Our team (staff and volunteers) will be present to ensure the best possible experience at the QCFF. We will not tolerate any rude gesture or comment directed at our team and we will take the necessary measures in case of this type of occurrence. Festival visitors agree to assume all responsibility of risks and dangers that may arise from the event and waive all claims for loss or damage resulting from any cause whatsoever suffered by festival visitors, whether before, during or after the event. QCFF management reserves the right to deny access to the event or expel any person whose behaviour is considered inappropriate, and without refund.
CONFIDENTIALITY The QCFF is extremely concerned about protecting your personal data. The QCFF takes all the necessary technical, contractual and administrative measures that are commercially reasonable to protect your personal information. The QCFF agrees not to disclose or transmit any personal information to third parties unless it has prior authorization from you. In addition, before disclosing your personal information to third parties, they must commit to strict contractual conditions that require them to maintain the confidentiality of information communicated to them. However, the QCFF will disclose your personal information if it is required to do so by law or a court order or by an authority with the power to force the communication of such personal information, or to protect or defend a legal interest. The information collected is used exclusively by the QCFF. The QCFF agrees not to sell or rent your personal information to anyone. Complete Terms of Use regarding data protection is available on our website and can be sent to you upon request.
TERMS OF USE OF THE WEBSITE The QCFF website may contain links to other websites that are not managed by the organization. Note that when you leave the QCFF website you are not subject to its Terms of Use. The QCFF, its website as well as all associated activities reserve the right to change the Terms of Use without prior notice. These Terms of Use are available at all times on the QCFF website. The QCFF website only uses cookies to manage sessions and presentation of the website. No confidential information is kept. It is only used for statistical purposes. The entire content of this website is protected under Canadian and international laws on copyright material. It is prohibited to copy, distribute, reproduce and publish information, products or services obtained from the QCFF website, or to use elements of the website for commercial or other purposes. The use of the QCFF name and logo is prohibited except with authorization from management.
