After film studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Philippe Lupien directed his first short film : M. Simard’s Halloween (2009) which won many awards. Marie-Hélène Viens collaborate on many other projects as Bernard le Grand (2013) which is the first short film written and directed by the duo. We Are the Freak Show' is their third short.

After film production studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Marie-Hélène Viens produces Philippe Lupien’s second short film : ‘The Devil himself’ (2010), which was selected in many international film festivals. They also collaborate on many other projects. ‘Bernard le Grand’ (2013) is the first short film written and directed by the duo. ‘Amen’ (2016) is their second short film as co-directors. They released their third short in 2017, 'We Are the Freak Show', and they are currently writing their first feature.
